Patient Participation Group

 Thanks to all those who signed up to our Patient Group. We are currently running this year's major patient questionnaire and will share the results in mid-october. Please look out for further information in the "Latest News" section. We always welcome new members so please go to the Patient Group page if you would like to join.

Appointments

appointment_1Please ring 01274 223 118 for an appointment or you can book online using the NHS App or SystmOnline. Please note we do not offer pre-bookable appointments. For any emergency problems the Doctor may wish to speak to you to assess the urgency.

Please inform the surgery as soon as possible if you cannot keep an appointment. This is so we can offer it to another patient. We can only offer same day appointments.

If you can not keep an appointment please inform the surgery as soon as possible so it can be offered to another patient. Appointments can only be booked on the same day. 


Urgent/Routine on the day appointments

1) Contact us on 01274 223118 or use the NHS App or Systmonline. Appointments will be available from 8am each weekday.

Register for Systmonline:

Come to reception with photo ID to sign up.

This service allows you to:

  • Book available online Face to Face and telephone appointments each day. 

  • View your booked appointments online

  • Amend, cancel and print any online appointments you have booked.

  • Be a proxy user - so you can do the above on a family member or cared for patient on their behalf.

Proxy Access: Come into the surgery and complete a short form so we can link your account up to another patients who you care for.

Reception

We train our receptionists to do a difficult job well. They help patients and doctors by making surgeries and clinics run smoothly. If you have to wait or find some questions annoying, the receptionist is following our practice policies. This is important when a receptionist needs to assess the urgency of a home visit.

This is especially relevant when a home visit is being requested and the receptionist has to judge the urgency of your request. We operate a zero tolerance to abuse to our staff.


Ways to cancel your appointment

If you're having trouble reaching us by phone to cancel an appointment, you can try this:

1) Sign up to SystmOnline in the surgery or via the NHS App. You can use this to book and cancel appointments and ask for medications without calling us. This is the fastest and easiest method and we encourage everyone to sign up to these services.

2) Click on the cancel appointment button on the bottom of this page. You can also click here to take you straight to short form to fill out, of name, dob, appointment time.

Missed Appointments

We are tackling our recurrent did not attenders for appointments.

  • If you miss 3 appointments within 12 months, we will send you a letter -
    this will be your first warning.
  • If you miss 2 more appointments within 12 months, we will send out a 2nd letter -
    this will be your final warning.
  • If you miss another appointment within 12 months -
    you will be removed from our practice list.
